Gr. K-8 Over a decade of use in the field has earned the Magiscope® a reputation for unsurpassed reliability, optical excellence, and ease of use. Solid cast aluminum body with black epoxy finish, brass-on-brass friction focus, and a fine adjustment ramp. The Magiscope® has only 1 moving part with no knobs, gears, rack and pinion, or exposed screws present. The Lumarod® illuminator provides even, cool lighting without adjustment, alignment, or maintenance. Provides both reflected and transmitted light ambiently. No bulbs, prisms, mirrors, cords, or batteries are used. The basic unit uses a 5X eyepiece and a 4X achromatic objective for 20X magnification. The optical system utilizes a high-relief eyepiece to accommodate younger viewers. Made in the U.S.A. Ten-year warranty includes accidental breakage.
